Personal discussion of your financial
statements or other business
matters is available when you need it and we are as
close as your phone.
Available when needed. It summarizes
your total business assets, liabilities and net worth
at a given point in time so you can make decisions
about capital expenditures, how to improve profits.
Necessary for bank loans and if you wish to establish
credit.
Monthly Operating
Statements |
A monthly breakdown of sales, cost
of sales and expenses (profit and loss) for the current
month, and a total for all the months of the year
to date. Percentages for both help you compare performance
to the pervious year and spot problem areas so you
can take immediate action.
Payroll and tax information on every
employee and any 1099 reporting requirement. Required
for government and insurance purposes. If you need
full payroll checkwriting services, for any state,
check our full payroll service
page.
A
record of the dates, check numbers, payees and amounts
of all expenses within each of your business accounts
for the month and the year to date. When the auditors
come, your data is organized.
Most people think they can keep a general
ledger at home using a check-book program like Quicken,
but unless you have bookkeeping knowledge, you will
not get accurate results. Quicken and other program
can be used as data sources. Mail a disk or upload
a file. A trained bookkeeper will edit the data and
review for accuracy. A trained accountant will review
the results. It's like getting a whole accounting
department on a fixed fee budget.
A proving out of the bank's figures
with your checkbook balance each month to ensure you
are working with the correct totals. Electronic and
credit card
transactions balanced to income records.
Complete Tax
Planning and Preparation |
Federal, state, local taxes covering
sales tax and unemployment and excise tax. Social
security taxes, income taxes and franchise taxes,
if applicable - we prepare and maintain whatever is
necessary to protect your interests, save you valuable
time.
Comparative Operating
Statement |
Compare actual expenses to budget or
prior year with variances shown for both, and for
the month and year to date. This is one of the best
tools available to measure your business plan.
Optional Services
Accounts Receivable
and Collection System |
It can be effective to let an outside
service process your receivables. They may be able
to offer services that are too expensive to justify
in house, such as drafting from your clients accounts,
repetitive billings, bank
transfers. We prepare all journals with charges and
credits posted, customer statements with advertising
messages and second requests, a summary of delinquent
accounts - color coded for ease of evaluating your
customers, and a sales analysis. You can have interest
automatically charged to past-due customer balances.
Accounts Payable
Processing |
Using an outside service could save
you from having to hire a full charge bookkeeper at
$2,500 per month plus overhead.
