How to Cancel Your FileTax+ or IRS Shield Membership

You may cancel your FileTax+ or IRS Shield membership online through your FileTax.com account, by submitting a support ticket, by email, or by phone. Choose the option that is most convenient for you.

Option 1: Cancel Online

You can cancel your membership directly through your FileTax.com account.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your FileTax.com account.
  2. Select My Account.
  3. Click Manage Subscription, then select Update Payment or Cancel Subscription.
  4. Click Cancel FileTax+ or IRS Shield Membership.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select No thanks, please cancel to confirm your cancellation.

A confirmation will be displayed once your cancellation has been completed.

Option 2: Submit a Support Ticket

If you prefer, our Customer Support team can process your cancellation request for you.

Steps:

  1. Visit our Contact Us page and submit a support ticket.
  2. Complete the contact form and request cancellation of your FileTax+ or IRS Shield membership.
  3. Our team will process your request and send you a confirmation once it has been completed.

Option 3: Cancel by Email

You may also request cancellation by emailing our Customer Support team.

Subject: Request to Cancel FileTax+ or IRS Shield Membership

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your FileTax+ account
  • The membership you would like to cancel (FileTax+ or IRS Shield)

Our team will process your request and send you a confirmation once your requested membership has been canceled.

When calling, please let our representative know that you would like to cancel your FileTax+ or IRS Shield membership and have the following information available:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your FileTax+ account
