Do I need to file?
Individuals residing in Utah are not required to file a separate extension form, the state of Utah will automatically grant an extension for up to 6 months for individuals to file an income tax return with the state. Utah’s extension form, Form TC-546, should only be used if you need to make an extension payment for your Utah income tax.
